I sold my Powerbook G4 400MHz over 6 months ago and didn't have a mac until I recently bought the new Apple G5 Dual 1.8GHz. My iPod was not use for 6 months and then I started to charge it again on my G5. I notice itune won't except any song from my ipod and then when I checked my ipod all the songs I had on it was gone. Was it because it haven't been charge for 6 months and there was no more life in the battery? I thought the ipod have a backup battery?

I would guess that the songs are still on the drive and you should be able to get them back with a recovery tool.
