iPod, Which is the better deal?

I'm able to buy an iPod 15 gig for approximately $224 (incl. s/h charges & tax) or buy a refurbished iPod 30 gig from Apple for approximately $341 (free shipping but tax).
There's a $117 difference between the two. Obviously the 30 gig has a much larger capacity & has the dock, remote and belt clip that the 15 gig doesn't include. The $117 is a big deal for me right now and it's stretching my finances but I don't want to regret it later on.
My question is, which is the better value? Is having the remote and the dock really a big deal? I do quite a bit of jogging but don't think the clip would be a deal breaker since I'd wear it in a sports waist wrap I already own. I travel quite a bit but I think I'd just keep it in my backpack. I have approximately 2.5 gigs of downloaded music and over 6 gigs of ripped music (plan to get more as time goes on). I don't necessarily need all of it in the iPod although I guess it would be nice (though there's no way for me to listen to all that music anytime soon).
I'd like to make my purchase before I lose out on the opportunity (although my pocket will be hurting either way - money is a factor for me).
So what do you think? Any advise is truly welcome

I had a 1st gen 5 gig, and then upgraded to the 3rd gen 20 gig. I don't think you can have too much space on it. I found once I got it I started using it as a firewire hard drive as well. I keep a back up of a fair bit of stuff on there, and would leap at the chance for a larger ipod now (if I could afford it anyway!).

If you're anything like me, if you buy the 15gig you'll only end up wishing you'd gone for the 30 12 months down the line!
