I still have to wait 10 more days until my airport express ships, but when it gets here I want to be ready. Here's the scenario:

I want to use my newly acquired logitech THX computer speakers to be accessible to both my tv and my airport express. I basically need something that is the exact oppositte of this. I need one female and two male connectors, one to go into the tv, and the other into the airport express. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to audio stuff, so my apologies is the answer is obvious. Thanks in advance.

you need a mini-mixer, something with 2 pairs of stereo inputs, output to one stereo pair.
and, of course, the appropriate adapters...

plug the airport express into one channel, the tv in the other.
run them both at once if you hate your neighbors...

radio shack?
or do a little googling. look for mini mixer, or try samash.com, zzounds.com etc

have fun!

ok, sorry if this turns into a audio newbie post, but here it is:

So I want to use these speakers (that just have an audio out male plug) and use them to play back all the audio from my tv (whether it's from the cable box or the dvd player). As it stands, I can only get audio from one at a time, and it requires me to physically unplug and plug in the speakers into the correct rca plugs. Also, I can only change the volume using my speaker's remote, and not my tv's. Is this what a receiver is for? Would I connect everything to the receiver, including the speakers and would it be able to play all audio through the external speakers while allowing me to use just the receiver's remote?

first, these are powered speakers? (they plug into ac, have an amp built-in?)
does the tv have inputs& outputs for audio?

the truth is, there are a lot of variables.
you might write down what you have, and what connections each unit has, and GO to a radio shack or a circuit city, etc...and see what can be done

(and post back here for advice then)

just some thoughts!
