In my office we have a Canon GP405 Laser printer serving a bunch of PCs. I understand that CUPS can drive the printer if it has a Postscript card installed. Since ours doesn't, I'm looking for a driver that uses the printer's built-in PCL5e support instead.

I've tried a few GIMP HP Laserjet drivers, but nothing has worked yet. Any geniuses (or genii?) out there got this same printer, and a solution?

Thanks in advance,

Jonny05

If it's true PCL5, try one of the HP Laser Jet 2,3,4,5 drivers. It should work with one of them. If not, it's probably not real PCL5.
