I have an iMac, and apparently, the only way to open the CD drive (while no CD is in it) is to hit the 'eject' key on the keyboard that came with it. I wanted to know if I would be able to customize one of the keys from the Logitech's Elite Black Keyboard to open the CD drive, or if there is another way to open it. Thanks.

I believe holding down the F12 key will eject the drive on regular keyboards. I used a logitech wireless elite keyboard and all the mac functions worked fine on it.

Yeah, figured that out shortly after posting, but seeing as how F12 will open Dashboard in 10.4, not sure what I will do then. I am hoping that they'll make a different way in 10.4

I'm sure you'll be able to program Dashboard to work with a different function key. Actually it seems pretty silly that they chose F12, since the F12 key IS the eject key on iBooks and TiBooks.

Anyway, on my Elite Keyboard, I downloaded the Logitech drivers and set the "Media" key (left of the volume dial) to open and close my CD tray.

If they don't change it, you could just change the Dashboard hotkey to something like F8.

I was able to program a key on my Microsoft wireless keyboard to open my G5 drive door. I'm sure you can do it.
