Hi guys. I got myself a dual layer burner, Sony DRU -700a and poped in a FW case after reading a post here saying how it worked like a charm with toast from another poster.
I hooked it up to my PB and burnt about 4 DVD+Rs backing up files at 4x. Sweet as. No problems. But when I put in a DVD-R toast freezes after filling the cache, hanging on 'preparing'.
Can anyone tell me what could be causing this problem. Is it the FW case or a toast/os issue. The DVD-Rs I have tried to burn are 'Princos' and 'Sony'. The DVD+R which worked are 'Laser'. Could it be the media? Princo worked like a charm in the apple superdrive at work.
I know the drive is all good after putting in my XP box and burning a DVD-R which played in my DVD player fine. But I want it on my mac cause this is where I make the DVDs.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
