So I'm traveling to Japan this next semester, and I know I won't be having internet where I'm staying, which means I'll have to travel somewhere to get a connection. No big deal. I do wish to use my iSight to video chat with parents and friends back home, but traveling with an iSight is kinda scary. Apple's little plastic case they provide is just fine, but I'd need to bring along the stand to connect it to my Powerbook's lid, and I don't really think its all that backpack friendly.
So the question is, has anyone bought a third party iSight case. If so, what are your reviews?
The only iSight case i can find via Google is from sfbags. Anyone else have this?

Cookie? Did you even read my post? Duh it comes with a case, but a not very backpack friendly case. One that doesn't hold the mount and firewire cable.
Something a bit more Road Warrior friendly.

I have the Waterfield iSight case, and as with any product from Waterfield, it is perfect.

While under normal circumstances I'd never recommend products from MacMice, this product may do everything you need.
Drop the stiff flexi-cable in your laptop bag's pocket, and store the iSight in its included plastic cylinder, and you've got no need for the plastic mount or firewire cable cap.

Wow, thats actually really helpful. I would have never thought of that one. D'oh. I'll look into it. Might not be a bad idea. That and its the same price as the bag I was looking at.

I got my girlfriend the Waterfield iSight case. It's good and all, but I mostly got it to match her Waterfield bag. Before getting one, though, I'd suggest going to BestBuy/Circuit City and looking at the generic camera/accessory cases. For about $10 you can usually find a simple little vinyl case with good padding that clips onto your bag.
(Oh, and that flex-cable thingie from MacMice does seem kinda cool. IF the gooseneck holds its shape it would be much better than the clip for laptops).

I've yet to buy either, mostly due to me being lazy. I'm leaning towards the flexy cable from MacMice, though I think having the actual case would be a better overall solution. Something to cushion against damage in my backpack. Blah, I'd be set if XtremeMac's case, the one shown on Smalldog.com, was a real product. Something with a somewhat hard case would be preferable.
