I have 2 issues with my 3G iPod I was hoping users could comment on:

1) The remote thing that you attach to the headphone jack seems to be growing weaker and weaker on the cord near where you plug it in to the iPod. It looks like the stress is taking its toll on the cord. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Will it all of a sudden just lose the connection one day?

2) The top of my screen has some chromatic aberration of sorts...the LCD display has a slight multi-color twinge to it and rainbow effect. It's very slight -- I haven't dropped it or anything (I've seen what a cracked LCD looks like, and this isn't it)...but I'm wondering what's up.

I'd love to hear other user experiences.

Thanks!

I have that rainbowish stuff at the top of my iPod as well. I don't think it means anything bad. You're not alone.

Well, you have a color screen! This is a typical "problem" with LCD screens, particularly monochromatic ones. Some give off colors due to moisture getting into the unit. Will not affect operation of the iPod. The most important aspect is that you can still read the screen to know what song is playing and that the audio is ok.....
