hi,
I may have access to a Konica Minolta Dual Scan IV film scanner in a couple of days. I have a bunch of rolls that I'm developing the negatives only, no prints (well, prints only for 1 or 2 rolls). How easy will it be to scan in the images as true to the negative as possible with this scanner? (I'm also trying to see whether my f stop and shutter speed settings on my pentax k1000 was right on or horribly off and am worried about either the scanner not getting things right as is the case with my crappy cheapo flatbed, or the film scanner getting too smart and correcting everything before I have a chance to see what I did wrong...)
Also, does turning on all those fancy pixel polish, dust brush and grain dissolver features alter the image in any way? I tried the dust removal filter in Photoshop and that just seemed to blur things a bit; if that happens with all these things turned on, then I'd rather not... (and i rather like good ol' film grain...)
Thanks,
Tyler
