I was a bit dissapointed that Apple Short Hills (NJ) only had 20 gig ipods on display and no 40s. I asked if any of them had a personal 40 gig that I could compare for thickness/weight but they were too busy to go to the back to grab one and a bit rude... too bad, they lost a $300 sale tonight.

Can anyone with a 40 compare the thickness/weight to the 20? I haven't found any pics online with side-by-side comparisions but would love a reference.

After that, I'll be placing my order online where I can get free engraving and objectively friendly service.


ps - the 20 and 23" displays looked GREAT, though.

Apple Soho has plenty of 20 and 40 gb ipod yesterday, and i gota 40gb. The 40 gb is huge compared to 20 gb. If thickness is important to you, then you should get a 20gb.
