Hello all,

I recently purchased a Lexar JumpDrive Secure (128M) USB Drive to use as a quick means of transferring files between a PowerBook G4 (DVI) and a PowerMac G5. I've installed the updated STUC driver (reportedly required for OSX 10.3.3 and above) as per Lexar's technical support instructions, and have the drive mounting successfully on both machines.

The problem that I'm running into is on the PowerMac. While the drive always appears to be mounted, I am only able to copy files onto and off of it for "a while" after boot-up. After it has been mounted for a period of time, any attempt to copy a file from the JumpDrive to the Mac appears to work, but invariably results in a corrupted file. Also, when looking at the drive contents, the file icons will occasionally appear scrambed -- incorrect colors, patchy images, etc. I haven't been able to relate this to any other activity on the PowerMac (i.e. connecting other devices, etc.) So far, this problem has never occurred on the PowerBook, and I've never had a problem with any other USB devices on the PowerMac.

I've been in contact with Lexar's tech support, but they haven't been able to offer much help so far. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

Thanks in advance for any info!
