We're signed up with Tiscali Broadband (in the UK) and our USB ASDL modem has arrived this morning. After a spell on the helpline I've managed to get it to work with my Father's Windows ME laptop. I'm now trying to get it to work with OSX. I've downloaded the Sagem 800 driver installer, which has worked fine. However, it only ever gets as far as saying 'modem initialising', and doesn't actually connect.

I've put in all the settings I know except for one: on Windows it goes through the dial-up networking setup, and the number it 'dials' is 0,38 (yes, with the comma). There is nowhere to input this info in the network panel.

So basically it isn't working. Help.

Sagem 'Fast 800 E2T'

I've downloaded the lastest driver from their site.

You need to put in these settings in the ADSL monitor application.

In Configuration

ATM Channel VPI = 0
ATM Channel VCI = 38
Encapulation type = PPPoA VCMUX
ADSL standard = Multi Standard

These settings work very well on 10.3-10.3.9

However, I cannot get them to work with Tiger!

hope this helps.
