I heard that there's a photo negative scanner that supports by classic OS 9x. I was wondering if there's any photo negative scanner that supports OS X? If so, can you please name 'em.
Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean a slide scanner? If so, one of the better ones is:
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...p;modelid=7460
If not, then any 'ol scanner that supports OS X (of which there are many) and has a negative strip accessory (of which there are also many) will do.

Looks good here- yeah.. a photo negatives scanner or also can be combined 2 in 1 with slider negatives, too. Am looking for negative scanner supported by OS X. Anyone? thanks.

Thanks! My brother was asking around for me but I decided to jump in and become a member of MacNN.com.
I checked the url you gave me and it did not say anything about OSX but you mentioned that there are many out there - any idea on how I find them on www?
Again, thanks!

If you don't need the batch feed capability, the Canon 9900F is a great scanner that will do both photos, slides and negatives and has good OS X support.

I have a have had two Minolta film scanners(the old one SCSI, the new one Firewire/USB2). I have always used Vuescan instead of the supplied software. You can go to www.hamrick.com to see a list of scanners supported, and you can try Vuescan for free.

Yes but the quality of the scanned negatives/slides completely sucks. You really need a dedicated scanner. Scanning negs/slides is not as easy as scanning normal pics with a flatbed.

If you look on the right-hand side of the page, you'll see a link about OS X compatibility.

D-ooh! You were right. Sorry. I found it. Yep.
Thanks guys - you've been helpful with my researching on finding the right negative scanner that is OS X compatibility.
I'll keep you posted on what I've decided to buy.... Thanks again!
