Anybody have to low down on good, reliable usb 2.0 pci card brands that aren't too pricey. Don't see too many that are too pricey, but don't want to spend money on something that isn't worth $5, if you know what I mean.

Any help would be grateful.

Thanks,

drewk

I have an Adaptec 4-port PCI card (USB2connect 4000) installed in two different machines (one DP2.0 G5, one GigE G4) and have no problems. I don't use sleep on either Mac, so I can't help you there, but the cards work great and are fully supported under OS X 10.3. No third party drivers required.
$39 at CompUSA.

I got a cheap $13 card from newegg.com and it works fine in my MDD G4.

I need one that won't cause audio problems with my Soundsticks. Any advice?

I think griffin makes a USB hub intended for audio devices you may want to look at that. I know people that think its a marketing gimmick and that all hubs are the same but if this one doesn't work for you they should be more willing to take it back. Now let me find a link . . . aha, here it is.

My Adaptec USB 2.0 card (see above post) works just fine with my USB soundsticks.
