I'm probably going to be getting a 40GB iPod soon, and I have two questions:
* I have a few OGG files in my library (which I play with the Ogg QuickTime component on my Mac). Will iTunes ignore them (they appear as 'QuickTime Movie' in the Info dialog) and not transfer them to my iPod? Or should I just convert them to something else?

* I also have Internet radio stations in my library. Will those also not transfer?

Thanks.

radio stations will not transfer because, well, they're radio.

It's kind of like asking whether your favorite FM station will play on your CD player.

Also, the iPod won't play .ogg files, so anything ogg will be ignored when transferring, out of principle. If you want to convert to something iPod-compatible WITHOUT losing audio quality, transcode them to Apple Lossless.

iTunes will warn you that your library contains files not playable on the iPod, and that it won't sync them. I have a few MIDI files, and I'm pretty sure it would work the same for Oggs.

I can attest to the radio stations. Since iTunes recognizes them as streams, it happily skips over them.

Cheers!
