As i wait for delivery of the new G5 I am trying to find a scsi interface card for the new G%. I have an old Howtek D4000 film scanner which requires it. Eveything I read about which card is good or not good seems to be conflicting with other peoples experience. Is there any one or any place I can call to get the straight deal about this!!!!!!!! This is my first posting.

Also does anyone have any experience with running an old scsi scanner on these new breed of machines?
thanks

Stay away from Adaptec cards. Their OS X drivers stink.

ATTO cards work well, and their drivers are built into the OS. Get the UL3 or UL4 based cards.

Does anyone else mind paying $400+ for a SCSI card? I just need one for my old Umax 2100XL (SCSI-II) scanner. I know these are the only cards Apple lists on their site, but does anyone else know of a good card that will work in the Express slots besides the $475 Atto Card?
