Heres the deal. Were setting up a 7 computer (3xLinux and 4 WinXP) Lan. We need a good server for all this. There will be around 20 - 25 machines till may added.Myself as a Mac user said that ill do some research "why buy a xserve over a dual 3g with linux". Hope you can help me out guys.

Im a designer and know a little bit of administrating a little network. So, for example ... making a linux server work well need a technician to make it work and will cost us quite some money... will we have problems making a lan with linux and winxp?

Can you tell me some + and - for the xserve? It would be realy great.

thanks

Just go check out the OS X Server pages at Apple's site -- www.apple.com/server.

OS X Server (on an Xserve), is a HECK of a lot easier to administer than Linux, unless you have an admin who's been administering Linux for a couple years. And Xserve can easily serve Mac, Windows, and Linux clients.
