I have a 3G ipod, 20 Gig. The problem I am having is that when I put it on the dock, use the car adapter or firewire, it will not charge. Normally you get the charging screen but now I get nothing. There is still some battery life left so if I put it on the dock or directly to firewire the computer will recognize it but it just won't charge. The ipod still powers up, plays fine, just no charging. Is this a battery issue or something else?

I would take it to Apple and see if there was a Problem. If you are near a Store just go there and have them look at it. If not I would call them and see what they say.
