When I select playlist on the ipod (4g) I get an alphabitized list of song titles. When I select genre I get a list of artists, BUT at the top it says all-which leads to list of albums. Why does it not give ALL option on a playlist? Does it have to do with my shuffle setting?

I would like to be able to select an album or artist in the playlist rather than go by song.

You can't "browse" playlists like you can your music library on your iPod. You can only view a list of all the songs in the playlist. Use iTunes to make better playlists if you're not happy with what you've got. www.smartplaylists.com
