I updated my 4g ipod last night and now my powerbook cannot not detect the ipod via firewire. Dectection thru USB is still OK. Intially the firewire connection worked but after ejecting the ipod, the powerbook would no longer detect the ipod upon reconnection with the dock. However, if i put the powerbook to sleep & rewake, then the powerbook detects it again. I called Apple support & the tech had me reset the firewire at start up (apple key+option+P+R). Now firewire is not working at all with the ipod. Since i do not have any other firewire devices to test the firewire port, i have no idea if it's the ipod or the firewire connection on my powerbook. Gotta to go see the genius at the Apple store.
Anyone else has this problem????
