I recently set up a wireless network for myself and housemates using our cable internet connection and airport extreme. As far as I can see, its the exact same set up I had done before at my parents house using the same airport hardaware. Now, the wireless needs to be restarted every 24 hours because there simply is no internet connection. I either unplug the power from the base station or restart it from the Airport Admin Utility software, but my network name doesn't always show up. Is there a known thing like this, or did I check a box somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure I can offer much help - I've had similar problems in the past, especially when laptops were visiting other wireless networks, sleeping, and then waking up on my own network. I can't say I ever found any systematic reason for it, but I'd suggest playing with the following settings until your problems cease:

Airport channel
encryption levels
whether a password is required
whether the network is limited to certain MAC addresses

I know that's not much help - but it eventually worked itself out for me.
