Can an ipod be used with a mac and a pc - that is swapping between the two with the pc at home and the mac at the office. I would want to add music using itunes on both platforms. The ipod is the 20gb version purchased Xmas 2003 and was formatted and used only with the pc.

I just got a 40 gig 4G model. What you want to do is set your iPod software to manage your tunes manually. You can then connect to your Mac and drag tunes on to the iPod icon from you iTunes libary on you Mac. You can also drag other types of files onto your iPod on your destop then just open the iPod in your Windows like at other drive.
Works great !!
