Hi,

I have a 12" PB and a Sony Ericsson T-610. I seem to have no problem setting up a bluetooth connection between the two but it seems after a while of having a connection the devices will always lose the connection. For example, I have the T610 set up as a GPRS modem with the powerbook. However, after a few minutes of using it, the connection will suddenly drop and I have to reconnect the two. I also use an app to pop up a message on my computer whenever someone calls my phone. However, once again, after a while, the connection drops and I have to reconnect. Is the problem on the computer end or the phone end? Is there a solution?

Have you run the firmware update on the bluetooth module? The software update downloads the app into /Applications/Utilities. Also, I believe the 10.3.5 update mentioned resolving some bluetooth connectivity issues.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3

I have experienced the same problem with my 12" PB and a Sony-Ericsson t68i on the AT&T network. Certain networks seem flakier than others. I encounter dropped connections more often in Manhattan than in D.C., or at least that's my perception of it.

If you're on the AT&T network, double-check your settings against their updated FAQ:
