I have a couple of ram files and i used an app to record them and i had to save them as aiffs i had no choice...when i imported them to my ipod it never played them...
i tried to rename the files to *.mp3 but still it didn't change anything..is there another app that can convert the ram to mp3 files or is there anyway i can play those files on my ipod...please help i would appreciate it...

Yes, the iPod can play AIFFs.

Just to be clear: You used Audio Hijack or a similar app to record the output of Realplayer as an AIFF, yes?
You would then:
1. Add the AIFFs to iTunes (drag & drop)
2. Optionally, select Advanced: Convert Selection to mp3 (or AAC if that's your default import setting)
3. Transfer the AIFF or mp3 or both to your iPod like any other song.

That sequence should work...
