I took a 120GB Maxtor drive out of my old G4 (OS 10.3.5 installed) and put it in a brand new Kingwin (GigaPlus) 3.5" enclosure, which has FW and USB 2.0 ports. I've tried both and nothing happens - device doesn't show up on desktop. The blue light (power) comes on and I hear the drive spin up, but no red light (access) and nothing else.

I have the drive set to "master". What else can I try? The drive was absolutely fine in the G4.
24" iMac 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 500GB drive
MacBook Air 11.6", 4GB RAM, 128GB drive
iPhone 4 (AT&T)
