Hi

I have got a scanner, which is currently used on my pc. However, I am about to convert to a mac only set up. My only concern is that there are definetly no mac drivers for this scanner. Would it work under virtual pc on a mac? Or is there no way what soever to use this device?

Thanks

james

If it is a USB scanner then it should work under Virtual PC. If it's a parallel scanner, forget it. If it's a SCSI scanner, it's a toss-up.

Another thing to consider is VueScan. It may support the scanner, and you can download a free demo to actually test compatibility before buying it.

Hi, thanks for that advice

Its a Slim U2 TA scanner. So you guys think that if i plug this device into my ibook while running virtual pc, it should work without a problem? yes, it is USB by the way!

What about my creative webcam? As no light comes on this device when iplug it into my uiboook like when i does on my pc.

I don't remember the name of it, but there's a third-party webcam driver available for OS X. A search of MacUpdate or VersionTracker should be able to find it.
