I accidentally formatted my lexar jump-drive to HFS format. Now it's unreadable on linux and windows computers. How do I format it into FAT again? This is really important.
I've tryed quite a few things, and nothing has worked.

I don't know of any easy way to do this on a mac, try plugging it into a PC and doing it from there.

Use the Disk Utility.

1. Select the appropriate disk.
2. Select the tab Delete and choose the `MS-DOS' format.
3. Click in Delete.

Note: you must select the DRIVE, not the volume. If you just click on "UNTITLED", you will not have DOS format available. You must select the item immediately above it, then DOS format will become available.
