i'm looking into purchasing a web cam. obviously isight is the best, but i don't want to spend 219 cdn dollars for it.

anyone have any experience with the macally icecam.. it's usb but it's 50 bucks (canadian)

i'd love to hear anyone's thoughts... if it's good enough for the price!

thanks,
emalen

If it's USB, it sucks. Go with an ADS Pyro cam if you want to save some money. It won't have a mic, but the image quality is the next best thing to an iSight.

For a USB webcam, its not to bad. No Mic though.

Not everyone can afford an iSight. I know I shouldn't have bought one, but I glad I did.

Shop around. You may still be able to pick up one of the old iSight models for $189. I know on the Western coast, a lot of stores did this to clear stock for the new iSights.
