I currently have an ipod and a friend just purchased an ipod mini. She has asked me to download her cd's at sync them onto her mini. Can I do this without putting my itunes music collection onto her mini? How does the computer recognize one ipod over the other?
Also, I don't want her music collection on my computer after I set up her mini for her. Can I easily clear off her collection?

Thanks for any advise you can offer.

You can set up her iPod to be manually synchronized, which means only the songs you drag over to the iPod will be transferred.

...then just sort your library by date added, shift-click the songs you added for her, and hit cmd-delete.

Why don't you create her a new user account on your computer? That way you can dump all of her music into a separate library. (Don't want to contaminate your library with cooties ) This will allow her mini to sync with your computer. You know, just in case she wants to add more music down the road.

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!
