any news when the 2.5 inch 80 gig 7k is supposed to hit stores. They already have it ready just mainly for huge companies like hp etc.

Wouldn't 7200RPM be an unnecessary battery drain for a portable?

not from the bench marks iv seen and also with the 3rd company making longer lasting batteries it rally doesn't matter. But it will keep me from buying another laptop till the g5 comes out later.
I will also upgrade the ram to hold off on a new laptop.

No, there's no news since the last time you posted, yoyoman. And besides, would it hurt you to check out the hard drive makers' websites and see what's out there? You don't need to have everyone do your homework for you.

tonton: there are already 7200 RPM notebook drives out there and they seem to affect battery life minimally.

I have checked out the sites nothing. My freind works for a local computer store and he got a few in stock so I asked him and he said mainly major companys like hp etc got a hold of them and to check around the forums.

I know I googled it some ware and saw it once but ever since I can't find it.
