After I did a backup of my old harddrive via Pod2Go, my free storage on my iPod is around 12gb out of 18gb. My music takes up about 2.25GB. I have since deleted the backup files, but my storage hasn't shown as available again! It still thinks the old Backup data is still there for some reason, and only shows 12Gb free on the iPod. Any ideas as to what I should do?

If you have nothing else on the iPod then I would suggest you reinstall the iPod software via the latest iPod Updater.

This will erase everything on your iPod so make sure you have all your music in iTunes before you do it.

Once it has been erased, then resync your iTunes library over to the iPod.

If the files are in the Trash, empty the trash, however, it may just be a matter of The Finder not updating. Disconnect and reconnect the iPod to see if the space has returned.

Parky, I will try that and see if it works. Thanks for the tip!

GORDYmac, I have disconnected and reconnected the iPod several times since this problem. I will see if it not trash-related. Thanks!

Do you think it could be a Pod2Go problem?

You will only see trash when the iPod is connected if that is where the problem is.

If you have DiskWarrior, you can rebuild the iPod and see if that solves the space problem. If not, can you e-mail the developers? Is that wataru's application? If so, he's been quite helpful with others on the app. Search the threads on that.
