The WSJ review kinda confirmed where I thought this type of device would be lacking. No, I havent't tried it, but these reviewers have.

I have a radioShark - it actually does work pretty well but the software is very buggy. The previous version froze the Finder when it woke up to record something and had intermittent audio playback problems. The latest version seems to fix this but now the time marker does not work. They do not seem to have a support forum and they haven't answered my support emails.
