I just installed one of these (F5U220) in my desktop Mac running OS X Panther 10.3.5, and it works unevenly. For example, I have my keyboard attached to it and although the keys work fine, the startup button doesn't function (it works fine using the built-in USB 1.1 ports).

This prompts me to ask, what is the status of USB 2.0 support in Panther? Do I need a third-party driver to achieve full functionality?

From what I read, the power-on feature in the first translucent keyboards was not part of the USB spec, so it was scrapped on later keyboards. If all other features work fine, then, the card may be functioning properly.

I ended up buying a cheap USB card with a Phillips chipset that works fine.
