I am a new Mac user however, I have had a iPod for about a year now. Can I hook up my FAT32 formatted to my iBook and use it as external hard drive? If so, do I need to reformat it? What do I need to do to make it an external hard drive? software?
I'm sure either way will work fine, but when I wiped my old iPod, I used Disk Utility to format it, then I used the iPod updater to install the iPod software. That is probably the best way to format the iPod as a Mac volume.
