This may have been posted before I just want to get out my pissed-off-ness about not being able to replace my 2G remote. Grrr.
Come on Apple it hasn't been that long!

Anyone else cut by Apples rapid obsolesces workings? The iPod (20Gb) is still great but the remote plug is screwed with only sound coming out of one headphone.

I have pulled the remote apart but the housing which the headphone plug inserts is soldered on in an very tricky manner making is hard to bend the rogue contact back to where is should be. Pain in the a$$

Sorry for such a negative post, but I can't afford a new iPod and having no remote means I will have to buy new headphones and be constantly going in and out of my bag to access the controls. That sux!

ebay is not helping either. Damn.

Heavens t'betsy!

But seriously... that is interesting. I believe that the product should still be accessible through an authorized service supplier as it might be required to be in their part system for a couple years after the discontinuation. But don't goto town on that just call one up.
Yose.
