A friend is giving me his Nikon LS 2000 which some of you might know as scsi only. I want to try it with my G5 but does not want to spend on expensive scsi cards (they cost as much as brand prosumer scanners already).
Will a scsi-firewire adapter work? I plan on using VueScan, as this scanner is not supported in OS X by Nikon anymore.
I have another choice which is to buy a cheaper scsi card like the Adaptec 2906 for my older Blue and White G4 instead of the G5 and use VueScan so I can run it on OS X (the Blue and White does not have OS 9 anymore).
But if anyone with experience using those scsi-firewire adapters can share their success, I would rather take the route of the G5 than use the G4.

Please post any successes you might have with these adapters, specially LS 2000 users.

Thanks
