Yes. My iP4000 does a great job with double sided printing. Better than my previous HP. And it's not an add-on module either - built right into the printer.

In that case, you're going to love the iP4000. With black-only printing there's barely a 1 second delay before printing on the back of the page. For color printing the customary dry time still applies (about 10 seconds).

I'd recommend the iP4000 (5 color, $149 list) over the iP3000 (4 color, $99 list). The extra high contrast dye-based black cartridge makes a difference. Check out this review at Steve's Digicams - especially the close up scans of sample prints on the last page:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_...on_ip4000.html

The high end iP8500 adds 8 color printing if you can afford it ($349 list). And Pixma models in between add features like WiFi G printing and 1 picoliter droplets. IMHO the iP4000 is still the best bang for the buck - especially since you can get it discounted to $128 at newegg.com

BTW - Canon includes OSX software (Easy-PhotoPrint) that does perfect borderless prints every time. There's an adjustment for borderless printing from any other app in Canon's OSX driver. But it's not as reliable as Easy-PhotoPrint.

I have a Pixma 5000 - the double sided printing works great. Prints very fast, output (text, graphics and photos) is gorgeous, and borderless printing works flawlessly for me from iPhoto.
