Seeing as how the the iPod photo uses a 3.5-mm stereo mini-jack port to output two audio channels as well as a video channel, is it possible that something like this is already built into the Airport Express?

I'm just thinking that if apple is doing this with the iPod, why wouldn't they be doing this with the Airport Express? Is it possible that the Airport Express, in fact, already supports such a connection? Is there anyway good way to check if my AXP has three seperate conductors in the mini-jack plug?

I have to hook up my laptop to the TV everytime I want to share photos with people -- it'd be great if I could just run a cable from the airport express. Though I suppose this would necessitate a remote, which Apple has yet to provide...

Anyway, curious if anyone knows a good way to check for that extra conductor.

Good thinking!

I am sure that Apple has probably thought of that. It is just the matter how many features Apple wants to build in Airport Express, and how important the feature matters to the users.

After all, Apple wants your Mac to become the hub of your digital life. And Airport Express can be the gateway to connect everything to your Mac.

Microsoft has the similar strategy and product, that is, Windows Media Center. And Windows Media Center Extender is sort-of Airport Express which displays a user-interface on TV.
