Disassembling iPod remote - anyone done it?

	Yet again my iPod remote has stopped working, and as I am getting pretty sick of replacing it at ridiculous expense I am going to try to repair it. It seems that the problem is a bad conection in the cord where it enters the remote itself, so hoepfully I can shorten the cord a bit and re-solder the wires inside the remote... My question is has anyone successfully disassembled the remote without damaging it? It seems like quite a tough nut to crack so would be good to learn from someone elses mistakes before butchering it... Thanks! Paco.
