Odd problem with Windows Printing from 10.3.3.

Setup:
XP PC with Canon i560 printer connected by USB and printer sharing set to ON.
iMac G4 running 10.3.3 on same network as XP PC. i560 Canon drivers for OS X installed.

Problem:
At Printer Setup Utility, when I select Windows Printing, the iMac sees the XP PC and the shared i560 printer but when I try to select i560 drivers (which I know are installed), the only available CANON printers are all CUPS drivers for other models. No i560 drivers appear at all. If I set other drivers and test print, I get a page of garbage because the drivers are wrong but at least I know the Windows Printing settings are correct.
Any ideas? I have tried deleting preferences, etc., reinstalling i560 drivers on iMac, checking that the drivers are in the right place (root/Library/Printers/CANON) but nothing makes the i560 drivers appear in the printer list for Windows printing!

To solve my own problem.

The reason seems to be that Windows Printing from Mac uses CUPS + Gimp print or SAMBA and the Canon provided drivers do not support CUPS on OS X. There were two easy solutions—download commercial drivers from Turboprint.de for 39 euros or use the BJC7000 CUPS driver, which works fine. I found the latter solution on a Linux printing user group A lot of people at OSXHints have posted similar problems with shared printers from Epson and Canon on XP boxes.
