MacNN reports a story (actually at TheInquirer.net not at IT Inquirer) that describes a LOT of faulty LCD panels among the Apple Cinema Displays: "Most acutely affected appears to be the 23-inch line, which can exhibit a strong pink or yellow hue across the display that cannot be cured by colour calibration."

I don't find any discussion of this here (maybe nobody's had the money for the 23"?).

I'd like to be scoring one of these but now consider going to something like Formac. I'd like to see just *how* prevalent the problem is.

I think the problem is with the 23" not 20" just like how the white spot problem was a small problem for all PB, but was really prevalent in the 15" model. So I don't think the voting poll is setup right. It's funny that nobody's mentioned anything here but it's supposedly a widespread complaint at the Apple forums. Hmmmmmm.

Ummm... Thank you. You are right. Could a moderator please substitute "23" for "20" ?

Yes, the photo studio where i work just bought a pair of the new 23's and they are both very pink out of the box. Calibrated with the Gretag-Macbeth EyeOne, they look pretty okay. I would be pissed if I bought one for home use and didn't have access to a pro-quality calibrator.
