Just got myself a PowerMate. It appears to disable my powerbook's trackpad and button when I plug it in. My bluetooth mouse works fine in tandem with it, but not the trackpad. I can't find anything about this on Griffin's support site. Anyone know whether this can be fixed? Or is this a "feature"?

I have a 12" 1ghz Powerbook w/ a Bluetooth apple keyboard, bluetooth MX900, and a powermate. The mouse, trackpad, and powermate all work together in harmony. I am running OS 10.3 and the powermate drivers that came with it. May be an issue with your individual machine. Sorry.

There is a feature in OS X that disables the trackpad when a mouse is plugged in. Maybe OSX sees the powermate as a mouse or similar, and therefore deactivates the trackpad. Check under System Prefs>Mouse&Keyb>Trackpad , near the bottom it says 'Ignore trackpad when mouse is present' , if it is checked try unchecking it. Hope this helps ...

Superb, that did it. I'm slightly embarrassed that I didn't work that out by myself!

Thanks a lot d.fine!
