trying to pick out a new phone for my wife's birthday. She wants a flip phone and likes the moto v600 but there are the documented isync problems and sort of likes the SE Z600 but it's a not as small and neat as the moto.
Now, as I understand it, Tiger is going to fix the isync problems when it comes out, so the other thing she'd like to be able to do is use the phone for occasional email logins using her powerbook 12" when travelling. She's done this once with someone else's (nokia) phone. Can most bluetooth phones be used in this way, and just be able to enter your dial up account details?
I've never done dial in's with a cell phone. I'm not talking about using gprs but a regular 9600bd dial up. As she travels a lot, we tend to just get the cheap pay-as-you-go sim cards, and they don't usually have gprs included. Travel is primarily Europe, but occasionally includes Australia and some of Asia (where we live).
