La Cie's 500GB/800GB Ethernet Drive ...

I am looking for somthing like this product for my office ...

But before I drop $1000 on a hard drive, I have a few questions.

the product specs say that you can share the HD amongst up to 25 users.

Does this mean I can plug it into my router and access the contents from all the macs in my office? does it just show up as a mounted drive? or do you have to log into it like another computer on the network?

Has anyone used one of these drives?
