I have just added a SkyFi2 unit to my truck. Previously I had a Sony PNP2 attached to a hard-wired FM Modulator. There were no problems. Now that the Sony is gone, I thought I could hook up the iPod to the FM Modulator and it would work the same, but it doesn't. There isn't any sound at all.

I thought I remember reading that the iPod couldn't power certain speakers, or something like that. Obviously it'll work at home or otherwise they wouldn't make iCable and similar products. What I plugged into my iPod was a headphone jack that led to two female RCA Jacks, and I plugged the male RCA jacks from the noise filter into them.

There is a set of female jacks directly from the modulator. I'm going to try hooking a pair of headphone jacks to male RCA cables to them just to try...has anyone else ever experienced this?
I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut... I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, don't even act like I didn't buy a doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... It's in my file at home. ...Under "D".

Found the problem...three things:

1. I'm a dumbass
2. The volume had to be fully up (found this out playing with my home stereo)
3. The headphone jack wasn't fully connecting with the iPod because of my case. I opened my case, plugged it in, and voila! It worked.

Well, that gets a Duh from me, but maybe someone else will see this and realize it can be done.
