I would like to expand my cube's hdd capacity with an external enclosure, but would like to check with the experts before spending money on something I'm not sure I can use. I found this and thought it would be ideal as it is firewire 800 capable using the oxford 912 chipset. by buying this I could future-proof my purchase in case I eventually get one of those shiny G5 things. for now though, using it with my G4 cube, would I be able to get a FW800-to-FW400 cable to allow it to be recognized? Are there any pitfalls to this? I know I'll be experiencing FW400 speeds if it would even work, but that's fine for now. also, any cable recommendations?
Thank you
