I've not been happy with my HP OfficeJet G85 running on OS X--extremely slow printing/eats envelopes/trouble with HP Director interface. So I'm thinking of getting a new machine. So far the HP 9110 and HP PSC 2410 seem possibilities. Epsons all in one don't seem to have fax capabilities and I've had so much trouble using the Internal iMac fax program that I don't want to be without that.

Anyone with experience/advice about these or others I should consider? Since I have limited space, I haven't wanted to buy separate printers/fax/scanners.

Thanks

Every HP you have will have the same problems, they have notoriously bad Mac Drivers for everything but laser printers.

The Epsons also have clogging problems.

In reality you are outta luck on the mac side, best thing to do is buy separate.

It's a shame the Canon Multi functions aren't Mac osx compatible. Maybe they will be soon?

Or are the new multifunction pixma 1/2 compatible?

I don't understand this bit, maybe you will:

It is cofusing in that they seem to support it--but then say they don't. I've sent them an email to ask, but I doubt the person answering will know. I'll let you know what answer I get--looks like a good choice.

Canon answered that they support printing and scanning, but not faxing in OS X

No problems at all with my HP PSC 2550. Network wired and wireless, scanner, fax and priting all work well and even has double-sided printing. Software has been completely troublefree. The direct print slots have been nice for printing directly from memory cards too. Wish I had bought it 5 years ago but then it would have cost $1000--today it is about $250 in Tokyo.

Here is the first canon multifunction that seems to be support in OSX
Pixma MP780

Seems promising. I used to use a canon F80 but since we went mac only, could only use it for faxing and scanning/printing under virtual PC which was so horrible. I'm looking for a mac solution and someone to take the F80 away!

Well going from the Canon PIXMA series printers I'm very impressed with their OSX support. So if faxing isn't a concern it sounds good.
