I have a Lexar JumpDrive Sport that I use to back up my schoolwork, etc. on. It's pretty decent and I particularly like the rubber holder for the keychain, and the fact that to use it I don't have to plug my keys into my computer (just the drive).

One thing I don't like is that I can't customize the folder icons for it (or the drive icon for that matter)—it only allows generic icons. Does anyone know what is up with this?

Also, I have seen a jumpdrive for sale that provides password protection. Is there a way to password protect content on any jumpdrive?

Get Info on it in the Finder and I'm pretty sure you'll find that it's formatted as "Macintosh PC Exchange (MS-DOS)" rather than "Mac OS Extended". Which means it can be used in PCs running Windows as well as Macs, but means you lose some of the Mac niceties, such as folder and drive icons. If you only ever use it on a Mac, reformat using Disk Utility and the prettiness can be yours. Else, nothing can be done.
