i just got a pioneer dvr-108. installed, everything's ok. boot the computer, drive ejects. close the drive. it ejects again. repeat forever.

has anyone seen this, ever?
I've tried disconnecting, and redoing, changing the jumper to cable select instead of master, hooking it up by itself. same result every time.

g4, mdd, dual 1ghz.

I have the same drive on a G4 DA 733 MHz set as Master on IDE2. No problems at all. Boots from install disks, iTunes works fine can burn dl disks with Toast 6.07. Sounds like you might just have a bad drive.

yep - i called pioneer and the guy was like "uh.. yeah you should return that"
