wanted to do a vid conference, so I hooked up the iSight, then get the message

"your camera is use by another application"

any idea what is causing this?

do you have anything like Evocam installed? Running?
Try a restart, incase any programs have failed to properly quit..

When I had my iSight plugged in full time that would happen to me. Restarting helped. Sometimes if iChat quit on me, it wouldn't let me use the cam.
